Performance Media Analyst

  • Act as a liaison between the media and account team to ensure that project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met
    • Schedule and participate in meetings
    • Follow up on projects
    • Take notes in meetings as necessary and send out information
  • Coordinate vendor relations
    • Obtain information such as media availability, specs and rates to evaluate the media orders
    • Report back with team lead information to make recommendations
  • Create and distribute insertion orders to vendors and internal teams upon plan approval
    • Use buying system (DDS)
    • Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained
    • Verify correct media is running
  • Respond to and gather all client event or media request information to facilitate plan development
  • Work closely with senior media team to coordinate and reconcile media billing across all platforms (print, broadcast, digital)
    • Ensure correct media buy has been entered in the system
    • Resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist the media department with market research using various websites and media resources

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of media experience (internship considered), preferably in an agency setting
  • Strong mathematical skills and keen attention to detail
    • Experience in reconciling numbers and work flow across multiple systems
    • Comfort managing client budgets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to build relationships and collaborate across team, departments, vendors and clients; communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience
  • Able to communicate clearly, thoroughly, succinctly and in a timely manner both verbally and in writing; follow up on outstanding issues; ask relevant questions
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to daily responsibilities, including actions such as:
    • Actively and effectively manage timelines, budgets and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously
    • Provide regular and thorough project updates to manager and team
    • Anticipate potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicate concerns and develop solutions
  • Understanding of basic media planning and buying process
