The trick will be finding the data points of value and using that to power engagements that create impact. The Group Connections Director role will work across our integrated Connections team – CRM, paid media, paid search, SEO, social media, mobility and SEO – and will also be linked to our innovation teams.

A company’s data footprint and maturity level is unique as their culture and their specific technology footprint. This role will help our client partners clearly understand where they are in their data journey – current assets, tools and gaps – and establish a better plan forward, including ongoing testing, learning and optimization.


  • Inspire great work through your leading data insight: Develop strategic plans that communicate the vision and road map of a client’s engagement strategy across channels. Bring your data know-how to the fore front to deliver on true products and services of value.
  • A leader and educator: Distill and communicate the essentials simply, share expertise and bring teams along the process to elevate use of data (1st, 2nd and 3rd party) and tools/platforms to drive multi-channel engagement
  • Pair with internal VMLY&R Connections, Technology, Creative and Analytics teams to bring a sharp focus on the strategy and execution to drive data-driven CRM for clients.

Required Skills

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent presentation skills (speaking and presentation design) required

  • Ability to travel

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10-12+ years of experience in data strategy, CRM and digital marketing
  • Experience in working with brands
  • Demonstrated success with client relationships, team management and business development
