Responsibilities
track work and communicate the status of work to a team

learn new technologies and implement good practices based on what you learn

share what you learn to help others solve problems

actively listen to problem descriptions

write scripts to execute sequential steps to accomplish tasks

troubleshoot web applications, services, and environments using tools and logs

help teams develop processes to continually learn and improve

Requirements

Source control to branch, commit, and push code

Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Groovy, Python, Ruby)

Public clouds (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud)

Server operating systems (e.g. RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Windows Server)

Web and application servers (e.g. Apache, IIS, Tomcat, etc.)

DevOps toolchains (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Puppet, Chef)

Competencies

Ability to learn new technologies

Experience tracking work in a ticketing system and communicating status

Experience scripting tasks

Familiarity with DevOps, web development life cycle, source control systems, continuous integration, change management and task-tracking tools.

Experience troubleshooting web applications, services and environments
