The Operations Director is the functional leader, provide overall direction for the department, and ensure teams are properly skilled and deployed to meet the client team needs. They also provide deep and meaningful analysis and evaluation of agency operations that is easily understandable and digestible.


  • Provide guidance and leadership for the Operations department.
  • Break down complex sets of data into relevant insights for client teams and executive leadership
  • Lead, manage and develop direct reports
  • Generate job numbers and grant appropriate access within SAP
  • Create SAP and status reports
  • Support ongoing RAFT maintenance
  • Consolidate and streamline repeatable tasks to develop process efficiencies
  • Resource to Revenue Management
  • Continuously develop expertise in all internal systems

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or relevant field
  • 5-7 years relevant experience in advertising or marketing
  • Advanced understanding of internal systems and Business Intelligence Software. i.e. Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience leading a team
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills

Red Fuse NA – Operations:

  • The Operations Leader is in charge of the ways in which and with whom the account operates. This leader must:
    • Be a functional problem solver, working closely with all departments to identify and solve systemic issues. Continuously improve ways of working and team performance
    • Be the guardian of the SOW and the MSA, ensuring that both the agency and the client are protected
    • Identify opportunities before they become issues and provide innovative yet practical solutions
  • Specific responsibilities for Red Fuse North America include:
    • Team Transformation Oversight
    • IMC + Commerce SOW Generation:
      • Annual evaluation/adjustment of project types and definitions and/or creation of new project types of definitions
      • Annual adjustment and/or creation of standards based on above and actual project time tracking
      • Generation of Annual Project List, creating SOW from project types
      • Partnering with Managing Director and Finance Director, creation of staff plan (as informed by, but not dictated by standards) based on Annual Project SOW
    • IMC + Commerce SOW Maintenance:
      • Monthly internal reporting of time tracking/burn against planned project Standards
      • Monthly internal IMC and Commerce SOW reviews to capture project and/or SOW changes
      • Monthly senior client reporting of SOW additions/removals/swaps/completions
      • Quarterly finance reporting of project counts and Standard dollars and hours
    • Systems (Screendragon) Maintenance:
      • Note: Any adjustments to SOW must also be updated in Screendragon
      • Annual ingestion of new project types and standards
      • Annual ingestion of IMC and Commerce SOW
      • Generation and share out of timecodes for each IMC and Commerce project, as well as annual media timecodes
      • Addition of team members to timecodes
      • Providing timecodes/reminding team of timecodes
      • Generation of ad hoc timecodes (e.g., non-billable, new business etc.)
      • Activation and deactivation of new or departing users
      • Monitoring of regular timesheet entry and approvals and notifying delinquent users
      • Time transfer for any erroneous time entry (as identified in monthly reports)
    • HR Liaison/New Hire Onboarding:
      • Presentation of onboarding documentation to new hire (may include direct manager)
      • Procurement of Google License (via Michael Carrillo)
      • Updating of org chart and contact info
      • Addition to NA Email Distribution List
      • Regular (weekly) check ins with People Lead to ensure HR aware of new hires or upcoming departures
      • Regular (weekly) check ins with Recruitment to clear backlog of opened positions
      • Onboarding of each new team member as they start. Includes:
    • Resourcing (process TBC):
    • Process Establishment & Documentation:
      • Onboarding
      • Org Charts
      • Brief Templates
      • IMC Campaign Development
      • Recruiting
      • Resourcing
    • Ad Hoc Project Lead:
      • DE&I Measurement & Analysis
      • Agency Transformation
    • Support for Global Requests
