VMLY&R seeks a seasoned mobile app strategist to bring insight in building mobile app experiences for brands that provide their end customers with true value. He or she will use their experience in all elements that go into providing users with a successful app ecosystem and organization. This includes, but is not limited to: team structure, app role(s) in the digital ecosystem, strategy to KPIs and success measurements and best practices across design, development and lifecycle.  This role will play an instrumental part in how digital touchpoints are owned and run here at VMLY&R.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the mobile app roadmap for brands looking to be leaders in both their industry and mobile apps holistically
  • Guide mobile apps through concept, development, delivery and lifecycle
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure success of the app across its lifecycle
  • Work with high level clients on justification of app experience and the roadmaps for success – feature and ownership
  • Partner with client leadership to ensure all business, brand and customer priorities are aligned for appropriate app usage
  • Provide thought leadership based on constant monitoring and upkeep on mobile app marketing and user trends across platforms and industries
  • Keep on top of competitive and user expectations and determine the right place for the client to execute
  • Lead new business for potential new partners
  • Engage directly with clients to develop strategic plans, present recommendations, and report results
  • Manage a team of mobile app experts across multiple disciplines (design, dev, strategy, lifecycle)

Skills & Experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent presentation skills (speaking and visual design) required
  • Willingness to learn and adjust based on opportunities, both personally and in industry
  • Ability to travel
  • 2+ years in a marketing communications role (e.g. email, mobile, in-product, paid media, and/or SMS)
  • Analytical thinker comfortable with measuring program performance and recommending areas of opportunity using existing data
  • Bonus for previous experience working on mobile apps in some capacity
  • Experience in working with brands
  • Demonstrated success with client relationships, team management and business development
