Creatives at Red Fuse, a sister at VMLY&R, are skilled storytellers and crafters of disruptive, original creative commerce solutions that delight shoppers and deliver cutting edge results for clients. We are seeking a dynamic Creative Director, Art to help lead creative on a large global client of WPP/Red Fuse. The role is ideally located in the NYC area. You will work on our commerce creative offering in North America reporting to our Group Creative Director and will partner with our integrated marketing agency team across multiple brands.

Specifically, this person will help lead the delivery of commerce programming ideas and activations that are built on smart ideas, combining Shopper & Retail Activation, Experiential, eCommerce, Design and Innovation. The type of work includes but is not limited to national solo brand programs at retail, multi-brand/category program ideas and retailer specific programs and activations.

What you’ll do: 

  • Inspire, lead and nurture growing creative talent
  • Help elevate visual craft and overall concepting of the final creative product
  • Partner with Account and Strategy leads to grow the business and explore new business opportunities
  • Brainstorm and conceptualize larger-scale projects with client and internal teams
  • Translate strategic insights into effective and highly creative ideas across a range of products and brands
  • Present and sell through work to client, both within scope and proactive concepts
  • Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Maintain accountability for overall quality of creative work
  • Help lead the agency to creative recognition and international accolades
  • All other duties as assigned by our Group Creative Director

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Design, or other relevant field
  • 10+ years of Art Direction or Design experience in an agency setting, with 5+ years of increasing managerial responsibility
  • Proficiency in Adobe design programs. Video editing/illustration/animation a plus.
  • Exceptional creative concepting ability, as evidenced by a diverse portfolio of work
  • Must have some experience including Shopper & Retail Activation and/or digital commerce.
  • Excellent presentation, team building and communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain internal and client relationships
  • Desire to direct as well as do, and lead by example
