At VMLY&R we’re reframing traditional planning for a more connected age. We have assembled a talented and diverse team of experts and are looking for a Group Planning Director who will be an active part of this growing global group.

We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Lead transformation through business and experience strategy: Set the vision and objectives anchoring product, service and experience design in customer and business impact across all CX workstreams.
  • Be a senior trusted advisor: Be a change agent for internal and external teams, working with client executives to not only define the path forward, but effectively communicate and galvanize action. 
  • Be collaborative and inspiring: Have a strong track record of successful collaborations with design, data, technology and research to inspiring word-class thinking that leads to in-channel execution
  • Create a truly connected brand: Lead through human-centered design. Embrace being a planner, strategist, designer, and connector to optimize every interactions and touchpoints with consumers across their entire journey with Ford.
  • Lead (internal and external) teams with humanity and empathy: Not only be human-centered in our work, but also our leadership. 
  • Make us better with your experience in customer experience (CX), product design, product management, growth strategy, innovation to elevate our capabilities, methodologies and offerings as agency partners for Ford and our other key client-partners

You’re right for this job if:

  • Expertly direct teams in development of executive level deliverables (with the ability to produce high-caliber deliverables independently as well)
  • Facilitating cross-functional collaboration across teams, departments, and agencies
  • Rapidly synthesize large quantities of information from a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, identify critical observations & insights, and formalize recommendations
  • Have a wide span of knowledge and experience across Digital, CRM, Mobile, Commerce, Retail, and/or Analytics
  • Design the business rationale for CX and new product and service design efforts within the client’s organization & develop corresponding roadmaps
  • Help clients make informed decisions on behalf of their customer and business; drive strategic discussions and alignment with senior clients
  • Grow client relationships by understanding business needs and opportunities
  • Develop roadmaps to bring concepts into action, working with stakeholders across the internal and client organization to ensure experiences are delivered in partnership with different channels across the ecosystem
  • Drive growth, in partnership with our clients to accelerate Ford’s customer experience
