VMLY&R's BrandAsset® Valuator Group (BAV) seeks an Associate Statistics Analyst to work with the Global Brand Research team to analyze data, support the effort to develop new products and provide statistician help and expertise as needed to client and R&D projects. As the Associate Statistics Analyst, you will report to the Director of Applied Statistics and will support data and data retrieval tool requests from the Director on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data checking assistance for US panel, global syndicated studies and custom studies.
  • Assist with brand List research - checking brand lists (defunct brands, new brands) in all markets
  • Link checking online US and Global studies as well as online studies
  • Conduct data capture testing on data sets
  • Aid with weighting data
  • Interface with BAV team and WPP operating companies on data questions
  • Support training by gathering needed materials/info as well as creating materials needed
  • Assist Director of Statistics with data retrieval for ad hoc tasks (i.e.: running multiple BSSs for projects)
  • Testing tool upgrades

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of work experience in applied statistics preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability organize several projects simultaneously
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Fluent in Excel (80% of work performed in Excel) and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SPSS, R or Q is a plus
  • Clear communication (written and oral)
  • Team-orientated, but ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and proactive in moving projects along
  • Interested in brands and marketing
  • Natural curiosity and passion for learning
