The Client Business Manager requires a willingness to work on various degrees of assignments from tactical projects to more strategic initiatives. This role will be party to sensitive information where a high level of confidentially will be required. The client business manager will also ensure work meets quality standards according to WPP policies and WBA obligations as it relates to all Commercial principles.

Reporting to the WBA Client Business Director, this position helps to support the commercial practice within the WBA Team.

  • Develop, implement and run client reporting process including required tools implementation, ensuring compliance vs contractual obligations or agreed incremental needs, working with multiple agency networks and WBA operations & finance teams.
  • Provide commercial support to the Operations Team on SOW management including liaising with the finance teams where billing is centralized.
  • Interface with WBA Agency Operations and Procurement teams on client reporting and SOW commercial management.
  • Monitor banking program and trouble shoot any issue working alongside Finance and Media teams.
  • Review and analyze quarterly revenue & profitability reports, work with agency networks to ensure data accuracy; make recommendations for profitability improvement.
  • Support Client Business Director on overall commercial & contractual matters, including putting together pricing proposals and managing compliance vs all contractual terms.
  • Perform other adhoc projects as needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks across multiple client stakeholders and agency networks.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Keep management updated of progress on projects.
  • Meticulous eye for detail and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
  • Bachelors in a Business or related degree required
  • Previous industry experience (5-7 years) in client finance, specifically with a high degree of experience in a commercial, finance or operational roles
  • Experience with developing scopes of work, staff plans, and various pricing models.
  • Experience in analyzing and managing client P&L’s.
  • Experience and familiarity with client contractual terms.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive, adaptable, and team player.
  • Ability to work with multi-cultural teams in a fast pace environment.
  • Organizational ability and attention of detail, analytical, project management, customer service, documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Brings a “whatever it takes” attitude into a large corporate environment.
  • Expert in developing and managing client relationships to deliver on expectations.
  • Strong business acumen with solid commercial and analytical skills. Proven judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Challenges status quo and takes calculated risk while being able to learn from mistakes.
  • Sets the example of a positive outlook and can be a motivator to help drive progress for the team.
  • Ability to effectively work across a team with diplomacy and a firm understanding of other’s roles and perspectives.
