About the Role

VMLY&R is looking for a Solution Architect to help solve complex and unique technical problems. Working with the Managing Director of Technology and Technical Architects, you will design technology solutions for best-in-class websites, applications, and system integrations. As a leader you will provide leadership in the development and implementation of short- and long-term projects. In coordination with the Project Management team, you will develop tactical strategies that aid in the development and execution of project plans and communicate intended solutions to internal and external client teams.

You Will

  • Lead the development of prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to aid in organizational learning and new business development.
  • Provide direction to several Centers of Excellence, including CMS-related (Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Drupal) and development related tools and technologies
  • Oversee aspects of project life cycle from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation
  • Partner with Technology and Creative department leads to develop solutions that support meeting client expectations
  • Anticipate system and industry changes, presenting information and analysis to facilitate solutions problems and new opportunities
  • Develop training materials for technologists across the global VMLY&R network
  • Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into design documentation
  • Build and maintain the repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents
  • Stay informed about technical projects within the company and be able to discuss those projects by way of technical capabilities to existing and prospective clients 

You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Web Content Management with AEM, leading 1 complete implementation of AEM
  • 10+ years of complex software development in Java/J2EE or .NET, including skills in server and client-side programming and best practices.
  • 10+ years of experience with Frontend CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript Frameworks (i.e React, Angular, Vue.js, etc)
  • Experience with cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • API development using RESTful and API Forward practices
  • SOA development experience using NodeJS and related technologies
  • Experience with cloud hosting and mobile architecture pattern concepts and associated implementations.
  • Experience applying SDLC principles in daily tasks, following Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery practices in all stages of development
  • Skill in implementing application systems and effective, user-centered interfaces
  • Experience with infrastructure and hosting design and operations (capacity planning, performance management, caching strategy, content delivery networks, testing, profiling, monitoring).
