The Senior Connections Manager’s primary responsibility is to identify and define opportunities for social engagement on Ford brand social channels and work closely with Creative, Project Management, Clients, Media, Account and other team members to develop plans to engage in the social space. This role will manage the master social media content calendar for Ford Motor Company and be a trusted advisor and publisher on the platform, from TikTok to LinkedIn. Areas include but are not limited to research and analysis; community development; brand channel management; engagement plans; content and dialogue plans; and technology implementation.

• Partner with Connections Managers to ensure sustainment and organic calendars are on-brief with approved narratives and/or platform strategies.
• Work with Social Listening teams to understand social footprints to fully define active discussion and opportunities in social communities, blogs, forums and other online social environments – maintain an active pulse on activities in communities.
• Define opportunities for creating or engaging in online communities that enable client’s practice to evolve and innovate in the space.
• Provide opportunities and strategic guidance to extend existing programs into the social spaces.
• Build business cases/POVs for projects based on objectives and expected consumer responses.
• Assign appropriate metadata for social assets to ensure accurate usage rights management
• Maintain social media content calendar for Ford Motor Company channels.
• Partner with analytics to prepare measurement plan to support efforts.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• Minimum 2-4 years experience of social media with broad understanding of the digital landscape
• Automotive and/or agency experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication or relevant field preferred
• Strong understanding of social media platforms - specifically how brands should approach social media to meet objectives
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Apple or Adobe software
• Excellent communications skills: writing, verbal and large-group presentations
• Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills
• Highly self-motivated and excellent attention to detail
• Track record of contributing digital strategies and tactics to successful communications campaigns

Preferred Skills
• Ability to formulate creative ideas/concepts and help guide creative team in execution
• Experience with a social management system like Sprinklr, Khoros or similar
• Strong understanding of market research, consumer insights, social technologies, social platform publishing and social monitoring tools
• Facebook Blueprint certification
• Twitter Flight School certification
