DevOps is the area that deals with the complexities of contemporary applications and the systems that support them. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of a cross-functional team delivering digital solutions for our clients. This position is instrumental in supporting our development practice to deliver custom features faster through automation and integration of highly scaled systems. The DevOps team at VMLY&R works collaboratively with development teams to continually improve processes following an agile methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automated development and deployment pipelines using CI/CD stack: Jenkins and Azue 
  • Work on ways to automate and improve existing development, testing, and release processes
  • Responsible for setting and configuring new development and infrastructure tools
  • Develop interface stubs and simulators and perform script maintenance and updates.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues and document RCA
  • Define and provision servers and containers leveraging automation tools and monitor system and application performances

Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience with the following:
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube or comparable substitutes, and building automated pipelines
  • Demonstrated expertise in configuring and building pipelines with Jenkins/Azure 
  • Expertise in automation - Jenkins/Azure/AWS pipelines, Ansible/Chef/Puppet tools

  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, OpenShift, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
  • Demonstrated skill with at least one or more configuration management/scripting technology (such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
  • Solid understanding of basic scripting languages like Python, Groovy or PHP
  • Familiarity with Web and application servers: Apache, IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss
  • Experience with Public Cloud Hosting providers: Microsoft Azure
