The Accounting Manager t is a highly valued individual within the Controller’s Group and plays an integral role in the day to day accounting operations of the agency. The person in this position will report to the Assistant Controller and will be very much involved in the monthly reporting process and will prepare routine journal entries and accruals as well as detailed account analyses. This individual will also be responsible for a wide variety of functions such as Intercompany Reporting, Treasury Operations, and Fixed Assets. Where you shine

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant role will be responsible for overseeing our internal intercompany system (ICS) process, preparing, and analyzing financial reconciliations, processing intra and intercompany transactions (including PO’s, payments, F/X gain & loss, etc.), working closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to complete month end transactions for monthly closes, and performing daily accounting activities as detailed below.

What your success will look like

Accounting Daily Tasks

  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Prepare reconciliations for the month/quarter/year-end closes.
  • Keep updated reconciliations of the legal and telecom expenses.
  • Process invoices daily to ensure no delays in payments are made.
  • Prepare AR/WIP reconciliations, and communicate with the client finance team for commentary and action plans.
  • Prepare vendor setup forms to be processed within our system
  • Prepare ad hoc projects assigned by the Accounting Manager and Controller
  • Responsible for preparing monthly financial binders.
  • Research and resolve variance account analytics

Intercompany Daily Tasks

  • Work with the intercompany Junior Accountant to oversee the intercompany upload process within the internal intercompany system (ICS)
  • Daily tasks of handling intercompany transactions with sister agencies, including frequent communications with sister agencies’ intercompany accountants.
  • Compile various intercompany reconciliations to prepare for month-end close.
  • Create wire templates for various international vendors/sister agencies
  • Responsible for wire transfers and communicating remittance detail to the recipient.
  • Initiate ACH payments through Wells Fargo CEO Portal
  • Conversion of foreign currency to/from US dollars for all intercompany invoices.
  • Performs general ledger reconciliations, balance sheets, and operating expense analyses.

Who you are and what you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2+ years post-graduate corporate accounting experience.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good organization and communication skills, Fast learner
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles/procedures to assist with internal reporting/monthly accounting cycle.
  • Provides accounting analytics and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality
  • Must have the self-determination to work autonomously and be an effective problem solver.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment and work in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent professional judgment, tact, and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manage multiple assignments within strict deadlines while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
  • A basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
