This role is rooted in secondary research (qualitative and quantitative), social exploration and storytelling. But it isn’t just the status quo, it’s taking research and melding it with a strategic mind to create innovative and agile approaches to learning more and create opportunities for our clients.

We are currently seeking an Associate Director that will encompass the following:

  • Works collaboratively with strategy, experience design, client engagement, data & innovation and creative to inform solutions that meet customer and business needs
  • Consults with internal and external clients to understand strategic research objectives and propose the appropriate approach to get to game-changing insights
  • Connects the dots on secondary research and social listening in a way that sparks new thinking
  • Concisely weaves together insights to create a compelling and human story
  • Brings data to life in unique, deep and meaningful ways for clients, translating it into actionable insights
  • Experience with social listening and analytics platform(s) (Brandwatch, MRI-Simmons, GWI, Infegy, Helixa, etc.)
  • Proficient in writing queries for social listening platforms to monitor brand, competitors and other key topics
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to tell a story in an easy-to-digest and visual manner
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment with different personalities

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a multidisciplinary background, including developing research strategy, analytics, consumer insight, and/or account planning
  • 5-7 years of overall research, strategy, or planning experience with at least 3 years of strategic, social insights, market research, business intelligence or similar field
  • Experience working independently and self-managing projects supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Understand methodologies and insight-gathering tools in social media
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data creatively and innovatively to engage an audience and address business needs
  • Deliver audience, industry and cultural trends & insights using social listening and audience identification tools that guide strategy
  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability with emphasis on drawing inferences with secondary data
  • Synthesize findings into compelling and concise data-driven stories
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to explore, organize and analyze data with meticulous attention to detail
