VMLY&R's BrandAsset® Valuator Group (BAV) seeks a Research Operations Assistant to work closely with the Study Production Assistant and support all aspects of the Global Brand Research team’s production of syndicated BAV surveys and the fielding multiple syndicated consumer brand surveys. As the Research Operations Assistant, you will report to the Director of Global Brand Research.

Responsibilities

  • Help to manage the research process of fielding multiple syndicated research surveys in the US and international markets, including:
  • Monitor field for global and US studies
  • Online link checks for syndicated and custom studies
  • Support survey design/sampling plans
  • Facilitate brand requests process (internal to Research group)
  • Liaise with local markets for key study inputs as needed
  • Assist with the set-up of QBAV custom studies
  • Assist with pricing for custom studies
  • Liaise with vendors and client team for custom studies

 Operations Support

  • Support project management of the group to keep tighter schedules
  • Liaise with global market stakeholder for research inputs
  • Create master schedules/monitor study progress
  • Support training by gathering needed materials/info
  • Managing user brand requests across WPP operating companies

Research Support

  • Participate in investigation of new methodologies for collecting data for new products/metrics
  • Maintain the Global brand list to represent all WPP operating companies
  • Building questionnaires with proprietary tools
  • Create print-ready questionnaires for paper studies
  • Create programming package for online studies
  • Create data checking decks for each syndicated study
  • Organize study material on the LAN
  • Coordinating survey logistics as needed

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of work experience in applied statistics preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability organize several projects simultaneously
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Very fluent and comfortable using Excel (~80% of work performed in Excel) and PowerPoint
  • Clear communicator (written and oral); comfortable interacting with analysts
  • Team-orientated but with the ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and proactive in moving projects along
  • Interested in brands and marketing
  • Natural curiosity and passion for learning
