About Us: VMLY&R

For the third consecutive year, VMLY&R reintroduces neXus, a series of 10 weekly virtual seminars hosted by VMLY&R global leadership and capability leads.

Designed to provide participants with the resources, education, and experiences needed to excel academically and kick-start their career pursuits, neXus will not only help young professionals build direct links to VMLY&R’s global leadership, service offerings, and culture, but it will also provide a current and real-time perspective of agency capabilities, dynamics, strategic challenges, and client successes in building connected brands.

Exclusive neXus participants consist of university students not yet eligible for an internship, candidates considering a career change, candidates who are returning to the workforce, or anyone who has genuine interest in learning and pursuing a career in the advertising/marketing industry

Throughout the program, neXus exclusives will gain access and insight into the advertising industry, network with peers seeking a career in the industry, and identify specific departments and practices that most interest them as they seek an internship or career path in the future.

neXus will run in the summer of 2023 from June 15 to August 16. Applications are now live until April 20.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You will be a 100% virtual participant in in the weekly learning series. 
• Please note, this opportunity is unpaid. The intention is to give anyone interested in VMLY&R or our industry an opportunity to get a peek behind the curtain before exploring internships or full-time opportunities with us. 

Required Skills & Experience

• Junior, senior, or nontraditional student in a four-year or community college. Career switchers or folks coming back from a working hiatus are eligible as well!
• Excellent communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail, willingness to ask questions and ability to follow up
• Someone who embraces change
• Passion for learning and ability to follow directions
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Highly collaborative team member
