They investigate, experiment, and report conclusions to make the solution clear for the next person on the path.

You will partner with other architects to design solutions choosing needed cloud offerings, software and services. Review architectural decisions of other projects. Design automation for the software development lifecycle including quality, security, and observability. Write and review code that provisions and manages infrastructure and systems. Lead troubleshooting when things do not work as expected.

Requirements

Source control to branch, commit, and push code

Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Groovy, Python, Ruby)

Public clouds (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud)

Serverless solutions (e.g. FaaS, Storage, Databases, etc.)

Content delivery networks (e.g. Akamai, CloudFront, Azure CDN)

Server operating systems (e.g. RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Windows Server)

Containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS)

Web and application servers (e.g. Apache, IIS, Tomcat, etc.)

Web content management systems (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Drupal)

 DevOps toolchains (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Puppet, Chef)

Compentencies

Ability to learn new technologies

Experience leading and tracking work in a ticketing system and coordinating efforts

Experience scripting and reviewing others scripts for tasks

Experience with DevOps methodologies, web development life cycle, source control systems, continuous integration, change management and tasktracking tools.

Experience troubleshooting web applications, services, and environments

Experience designing infrastructure to support web applications, services, and environments
