VMLY&R is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor. Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Review and process invoices with accuracy.
  • Fully understand and manage the accounts payable process for the media purchasing group.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees and vendors.
  • Develop, implement and improve controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Hire, train, manage and evaluate members of the team.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, suppliers and employees in a timely manner.
  • Process invoices using IPS and SAP.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other team members.
  • Audit invoices for client payments.
  • Work closely with media department to make sure proper documentation is received prior to vendor invoicing.
  • Review AP aging and open POs on a regular basis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Manage month end accruals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or other related field preferred.
  • Ability to handle and solve for complex situations.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable.
  • Well-organized with strong time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of the 3-way match.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Media payables, SAP or IPS experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
