The Scientific Associate is responsible for providing strategic insight and medical direction based on thorough knowledge of Client’s product and therapeutic area. The Scientific Associate will research, write, develop, and deliver, within budget and on time, strategic and scientifically accurate materials for a variety of healthcare audiences.
Responsibilities
- Writing materials such as slide decks (both disease state and product specific), publications, including abstracts, posters and manuscripts
- Referencing all developed content from peer-reviewed, published material or client provided data. This includes highlighting the supporting statements according to client guidelines, when required
- Providing scientific and strategic insight and direction
- Researching and learning a disease state area quickly
- Meeting with Clients and health care practitioner experts as necessary during the development and review of materials
- Assisting in preparation of requests for proposal (RFPs), new business pitches and attending these pitches, on occasion
- Traveling onsite to client meetings and conferences, which will require creation of executive summaries from meetings
- Producing and delivering work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Working effectively in a team-based setting

Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced degree (ie, PhD, PharmD, MD)
- Computer literacy in word processing programs
- Powerpoint knowledge a necessity
- Prior experience in medical education is a plus but not required
- Willingness to travel (up to 25% of time)
