Senior Insight Analyst
Description
- Be proactive in using data to improve the digital marketing performance of our client’s business more strategically.
- Query and analyse data across multiple SQL databases.
- Initiate impactful analytics projects, generate actionable statistical insights and translate them into business recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with the clients and wider team of strategists, account managers, media and CRM specialists, and other analysts.
- Support and improve regular reporting, e.g. through PowerBI dashboards, better insights and recommendations, etc.
- Focus on prioritising and completing projects on time.
- Mentor other analysts in improving technical skills, commercial acumen and building client relationships.
- Ensure client success by delivering and presenting high quality work on time.
- Be proactive in developing high-quality data-driven solutions to key business challenges while collaborating closely with the clients and wider team.
- Query and manipulate data from a variety of sources, and explore the data with rigorous statistical methods (including building models where needed).
- Develop business-friendly dashboards, including the backend SQL logic.
- Conduct regular reporting, automate processes and create reproducible code and documentation.

- Curiosity to really understand the data, business context and their links.
- Query, manipulate and join data from databases with reproducible code (e.g. SQL, Python, R, etc)
- Conduct rigorous exploratory data analysis with appropriate statistical methods in code (e.g. Python or R) – knowledge of linear models is a bonus.
- Building dashboards, e.g. PowerBI, Looker, etc.
- Listen to clients deeply to understand the business problem first, before jumping into the technology and methods.
- Think statistically around data quality and limitations, and their implications for the business.
- Work collaboratively with clients and the wider team to achieve a common goal.
- Willingness to learn the business context, new tools and new methods on the job.
- Enjoy mentoring other analysts.
