VitalSource®, is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to contribute to our Finance team located in Raleigh, North Carolina (hybrid schedule).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Coding and posting of all vendor invoices
  • Process weekly check runs
  • Prepare weekly ACH payment batches for US and International vendors and obtain approval through DocuSign
  • Determine and Prepare month end AP Accruals
  • Audit and approve Associate expense reports

Prepare GL entry for Associate expense reports and send to Payroll in a timely manner

  • Assist tax department with tax remittances and support

Process Year End 1099s

  • Resolve any vendor inquires and or statement discrepancies
  • Responsible for opening up new Vendors in Oracle and obtaining vendor tax forms
  • Responsible for pulling daily bank reports.
  • Assist with external audit reports regarding Accounts Payable issues
  • Perform misc ACH/Wire payments as requested
  • Responsible for monitoring the AP mailbox in Outlook

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 Year work experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable Clerk or similar position
  • Experience in Oracle
  • Intermediate experience in Excel (creating spreadsheets to include formulas and data manipulation)

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Comfortable learning new software applications.
  • Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills interacting with outside vendors and other departments.
  • Curious to learn, and the ability to work in a growing dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.

 

Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000
