VitalSource®, is hiring a Junior Financial Analyst to contribute to our Finance team located in Raleigh, North Carolina (hybrid) or remotely within the U.S. If located in Raleigh, this is a hybrid role that includes a combination of in-office days and remote work.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will maintain the company’s billing models and rules, assist with analysis and reporting, and support decision-making throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns entry and maintenance of VitalSource contractual terms into the Oracle financial system
  • Monitors margins daily for issues and works with sales to correct before invoicing occurs
  • Verifies billing and margin accuracy by auditing terms in the system against contracts and billing system data
  • Helps troubleshoot system problems, identifying root causes and recommending fixes
  • Supports Finance Manager in the creation of system requirements for system modifications or improvements, implementation, and user acceptance testing
  • Continuously reviews existing processes and offers recommendations on how to improve
  • Reviews disputed billings/terms and interpret and communicates issues and resolution path to internal customers
  • Participate with the Finance Manager in recommending process improvement projects in support of efficient and accurate billing, revenue recognition, and margin

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years experience in financial analysis, preferably in SaaS or EdTech
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with financial reporting tools
  • Experience with tracking KPI’s, monthly performance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to help develop and maintain financial models
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively outside the box

 

Salary Range: $61,000 to $74,000
