VitalSource®, is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to contribute to our Product team located in Raleigh, North Carolina or remotely within the U.S. If located in Raleigh, this is a hybrid role that includes a combination of in-office days and remote work.

This position will concentrate on financial reporting and analytics to enhance our understanding of the business's data and analytical requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Understand the current state of financial systems, business needs, and use cases and make recommendations to simplify and enhance the current BI system used for financial reporting and analysis (Qlik).
• Document, review, and improve existing systems while collaborating with teams to integrate new systems (Looker) and needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data analytics needs, translating business questions into analytical projects.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends for financial analysis. 
• Work closely with the product development team to integrate analytics findings into BI tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making in product design and feature improvements. 
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in education and educational technology, incorporating best practices in analytics and data visualization to support strategic planning and decision-making. 
• Coordinate and perform in-depth quality assurance tests, including end-user reviews, for new items and modifications to existing items.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Education, knowledge, skills, and abilities focused in the finance sector, familiarity with FP&A processes and data modeling for financial purposes; Understanding and curiosity of corporate business processes (Finance and Accounting) and business needs and translating that understanding into insightful Dashboards with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in BI tools (QLIK primarily, Looker experience a plus)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $93,000
