Senior Frontend Software Engineer
Description
- Languages/Frameworks: Ruby/Rails, JS, Vue
- Persistence: MySQL, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch
- Hosting: AWS
- Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Perform tests to optimize performance
- Write clean code to develop functioning web applications
- Work effectively and collaborate with different team members to deliver on-time and efficient projects
- High School Diploma/GED minimum
- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience developing complex, consumer-facing web applications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with reactive frameworks (i.e. Vue, React, etc.)
- Advanced working knowledge of CSS and SCSS
- Hands-on experience working at *nix terminal command line
- Advanced knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and best practices for meeting 2.1 AA compliance
- Experience building and deploying high-capacity applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
- Advanced working knowledge of Git and GitHub
- Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills to be able to actively listen to needs and respond to audience appropriately
- A strong understanding of how to architect solutions for scalability and performance
- Experience with SQL, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch and command line *nix environments
- Experience in ed-tech, education, language-learning or a similar industry
- Competency with CSS and various CSS conventions
