As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of a critical software application. You will join a team of 20+ who work together to provide full-lifecycle support to a software application providing audio ingest, storage, query, playback, analysis, and transcription capabilities. The application is used by national and tactical analysts on small systems (laptops) and large systems (server farms). You will also be able to use and/or learn docker, golang, elixer/erland, kubernetes, ansible, terraform and wavesurfer.js.

Responsibilities:
- Perform development in support of a Web-based mission application
- Review, troubleshoot and address reported system issues in a timely manner
- Work alongside multiple development team members to design and implement mission requested features
- Provide assistance to the applications test and operations team
- Investigate, present, and implement suggestions that solve complex application problems
- Perform development work via agile methodologies
Requirements:
- 14 years of experience in software development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree requirement)
- Basic Linux (CentOS / RHEL) knowledge
- Basic Git knowledge
- Basic Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) knowledge
- Experience in one or more of the following languages / frameworks: Java, JavaScript, Vue.js / React / Node.js or Python
- Experience with PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch databases
