The wage range for this role is $24.69-$28.91/hr.

Your tasks at a glance            

  • You are the master of keeping our tools clean and sterile.
  • You receive, sort, disassemble, decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and store instruments.
  • You keep accurate records of sterile items.
  • You make sure to rotate stock (FIFO) and reprocess outdated supplies.
  • You are patient and can stand for long periods of time, while doing repetitive movements and remaining focused on tasks.
  • You adhere to sterilization standards and ensure that they are met on a regular basis. 
  • You will be cross-trained as a Clinical Assistant (once the initial training is completed).
A clear view of your assets     
  • Required: You possess a recognized Sterile Processing / Medical Device Reprocessing Technician certificate (MDRT) and a current Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certificate.
  • You are meticulous, precise, rigorous, patient and focused, no detail can escape you.
  • You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
  • Your experience in the field of ophthalmology and/or optometry is considered an asset.
  • Schedule: You are available to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (flexibility required for occasional Saturdays).
