Your tasks at a glance 

• You are the master of keeping our tools clean and sterile.
• You receive, sort, disassemble, decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and store instruments.
• You keep accurate records of sterile items.
• You make sure to rotate stock (FIFO) and reprocess outdated supplies.
• You are patient and can stand for long periods of time, while doing repetitive movements and remaining focused on tasks.
• You adhere to sterilization standards and ensure that they are met on a regular basis. 
• You will be cross-trained in other technical roles such as Surgical Assistant & Clinical Assistant.

 A clear view of your assets 

• Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: optometry assistant, orderly, nurse, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, etc.).
• Your Sterile Processing Technician certificate or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician course (MDRT) is NOT required but is considered an asset.
• You have a definite interest in the field of health and high-tech devices.
• You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
• Schedule: You have flexible work availability from Monday to Saturday (start time between 7:00 am and 8:00 am).
• Required: You are comfortable traveling for training and work to other locations in the Greater Toronto Area.
