Overview of the Role
The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for the design and build of software products, platform services, and infrastructure across a variety of cloud technologies supporting the banking and finance industry.
This role will have the opportunity to build and manage modern software with broad technical responsibilities across products, including greenfield projects and technologies.
Main duties include:
- Engaging with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, ensuring solution outcomes align, and translating requirements into efficient application code
- Utilise Agile methodologies and provide technical leadership for all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Write efficient, clean, tested, and documented code ready for reuse by others
- Optimising the application for maximum speed and scalability across various platforms and devices
- Participating in tool and technology selection processes and creating proof of concept models for new technologies and approaches
- Provide deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure best practices and security standards
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and automation processes
- Training and mentoring staff who lack familiarity with the more technical aspects of IT, SDLC, and Azure solutions
- Helping to drive the engineering rhythm and Agile process of the team from planning, design, coding, and deployment, through to support
- Contribute to product initiatives to deliver robust and scalable solutions toward this vision, incorporating new technologies as appropriate
- Contribute to a team culture that values delivering customer value quickly and iteratively
Successful applicants should:
- A graduate of BS Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related courses
- With at least 8 years' experience as a Full Stack Engineer
- Strong technical team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration based on a hands-on approach to design and manage technical work
- Proficiency working on ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, C#
- Proficiency working on Angular 11/12, Typescript, Smart/Dumb Component Architecture, Angular Material, SCSS, HTML5 & CSS3
- Experience developing Azure cloud solutions and working on Azure, App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL DB, ADF, Logic Apps, and Entity Framework Core.
- Experience with Event-driven architecture, microservice architectures, and API development
- Experience with GIT / DevOps source control and CI tools
- Manage the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline and automation processes
- Strong communications skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders in the business, ranging from Analysts to Senior Management
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
It's desirable to have, but not essential:
- Basic knowledge of Financial Markets would additionally be greatly advantageous
- Basic knowledge of big data best practices to work on innovative cloud-based data solutions (MS Azure)
