Overview of the Role
The SMSF Accountant will be working closely with our associated wealth management team and our various clients.
Main duties include:
- Daily transactional processing and monitoring of our daily administered SMSFs
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns and member statements.
- Liaising with accountants, auditors, trustees and other parties as required.
- Responsible for collating compliance checklists / workpapers and collecting all source documentation.
- Preparing monthly reports for SMSF clients
- Facilitating all audit and client queries as required.
- Maintenance of the Class Client Portal
- Provide general assistance and support to other team members as required.
- Monitor SMSF workflow and ATO / ASIC deadlines
Successful applicants should:
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Management Accounting, Accounting Technology or any related courses
- With at least 3 years' experience as an SMSF accountant
- Ability to competently use a full range of Accounting Software products including:
- SMSF experience using Class Super
- Xero
- The ability to communicate (written and verbal) with clients in a clear, concise and effective manner
- Able to work under pressure and meet timelines.
- Motivation to complete tasks to the highest standard within required deadlines
