General Summary

This role is 100% remote!  The Compliance Analyst has the responsibility for ensuring that Virbela's processes, policies, and procedures are designed to minimize risk by aligning them with industry best practices and relevant security and privacy certification frameworks.  The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work across departments to manage audit requirements, identify process improvements, and direct themselves and others to successful implementation.

This position will be responsible for audit preparation, evidence collection, and policy development, and will provide regular reports to senior leadership.  This role additionally manages the InfoSec RFP process with customers and vendors.  Strong knowledge of compliance, security, and privacy is required, along with a high-level understanding of the entire Virbela technical stack and general IT and web infrastructure.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage development, implementation, and enforcement of policies and controls to ensure regulatory framework compliance in a complex SaaS environment
  • Work with third-party partners to support an effective risk management strategy
  • Collect and document evidence of compliance with standards and best practices
  • Coordinate responses to infosec questionnaires and third-party risk assessments
  • Analyze technical and business operations to evaluate audit readiness
  • Plan for and participate in external audits to facilitate compliance certification
  • Maintain a current understanding of evolving security and privacy practices
  • Educate the organization on risk mitigation, governance, and compliance



  • 2+ years Information Systems compliance monitoring and/or auditing experience
    • Strong plus if with a SAAS platform
  • 2+ years working with cloud-based applications
  • 1+ years experience working with security assurance software is a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent additional work experience


  • Practical knowledge of risk management and IT security frameworks
  • Strong prioritization and process management skills
  • Proven ability to analyze and process complex information
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts to business and technical audiences meaningfully and understandably
  • Confident and polished interpersonal skills
