This Position

As a Product Manager of MSS at VikingCloud, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of our MSS products/services to drive top line revenue growth if our existing MSS solution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to drive the product roadmap and ensure successful product launches. Your primary focus will be on delivering highly effective and user-friendly MSS solutions in the Asgard platform that meets or exceeds the needs of our customers and helps protect their systems and data.

Responsibilities.

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our MSS suite of solutions, including defining the product vision, identifying market opportunities, and analyzing customer needs and requirements.
  • Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that outlines the prioritized features, enhancements, and integrations based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and insights to inform product development decisions. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to drive the development and delivery of the security scanner product, ensuring high-quality releases on time. Provide clear and concise product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • User Experience (UX): Champion the importance of user experience and work closely with design teams to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to drive continuous improvements.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about the competitive landscape, including analyzing competitor products and strategies, and use this information to inform product positioning and differentiation.
  • Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product launches, including coordinating with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, messaging, and collateral.
  • Product Performance: Monitor key product metrics, user feedback, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and guide future product enhancements. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and drive customer success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and updates to internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a product manager, preferably in the cybersecurity/managed security services space or related field.
  • Strong understanding of managed security services, managed networking, and related industry standards.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
