About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and collaborative Marketing Content Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our Corporate Marketing team. This role serves as the connective tissue among Marketing leadership, subject-matter experts (SMEs), sales, web, and design. The ideal candidate is a proactive project manager and skilled communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping complex content initiatives moving without constant oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & SME Enablement
- Partner with SMEs across the business to identify blog topics aligned to market priorities.
- Distribute and manage blog worksheets, set deadlines, and drive accountability.
- Maintain the marketing content calendar in partnership with Marketing leadership.
- Facilitate blog development with external copywriters, managing feedback loops and approvals across Marketing, Executive, and SME stakeholders.
- Write SME spotlight profiles to elevate internal expertise and thought leadership.
Content Production & Sales Enablement
- Draft sales announcement copy tied to new content launches.
- Write Outreach snippets for the Sales team to use.
- Support campaign messaging alignment across teams.
- Draft and distribute monthly internal and external newsletters.
Digital & Website Execution
- Build and publish blogs and landing pages directly in the CMS across company websites.
- Execute website updates (e.g., evergreen content).
- Facilitate website and LinkedIn imagery creation with the graphic design team.
- Coordinate with the social media team to ensure posts go live on schedule.
Cross-Functional Project Management
- Manage timelines, reminders, and follow-through across SMEs, copywriters, social, web, sales, and executive approvals.
- Reduce administrative burden on Marketing leadership through proactive coordination.
- Serve as a single point of accountability for multi-stakeholder content initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, marketing operations, or a similar role.
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft copy and edit blogs, whitepapers, internal and external communications, social media copy, etc.
- Experience working directly in a CMS (e.g., Webflow).
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to brand consistency.
Preferred
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot).
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content approval workflows.
- Experience managing external vendors or freelance copywriters.
- Background in B2B marketing or technology/cybersecurity industries.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you will be the reason content gets published on time, sales have the tools they need, and Marketing leadership can focus on strategy rather than execution. You will be the person everyone counts on to keep initiatives moving and to anticipate what needs to happen next before being asked.
Success in the first 90 days looks like:
- Owning the content calendar and SME pipeline with minimal direction.
- Publishing at least the existing cadence of thought leadership content without disruption.
- Building trusted working relationships with key SMEs, the copywriting partner, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrating reliable follow-through on every open initiative.
