This Position

The purpose of the role of Mid-Market Business, Sales Representatives is to lead all pre-sales activities within the nominated territory.  Territory may be defined by geography, industry, domain; solution; partners or a group of major accounts. The role will require continuous engagement in ongoing business development strategies to acquire new clients.    

    

Responsibilities

    

Operational Responsibilities   

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the Market and Industry regarding Business, Economic, and Technology directions.
  • Ability to uncover and develop a deep understanding of a prospective client's business directions, issues and solution alternatives to align the appropriate VikingCloud offering
  • Provide expert-level guidance in Industry vertical matters.
  • Comply with sales processes in a timely and professional manner (Lead Generation, CRM, RFP software, Account Planning etc.).

    

    

Sales / Client Management Responsibilities   

  • Identify, prospect and close new opportunities, while communicating progress effectively to leadership.
  • Achieve sales targets within the nominated territory in alignment with the designated business plan.
  • Work closely with prospects and leads to determine their present and future needs, proposing suitable products and services to grow the VikingCloud customer base.
  • Understand the customer’s objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes.
  • Responsible for onboarding new clients, ensuring complete customer satisfaction objectives are achieved during the initial months of the partnership, while identifying immediate growth opportunities at the onset of the partnership
  • Contribute to sales strategies that will define the future of VikingCloud business.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of winning proposals.
  • Develop, maintain and lead sales plans for new prospects.
  • Keep abreast of competitors’ sales strategies and activities within nominated territory
  • Communicate and liaise with all professional staff to leverage new business opportunities.

    

Qualifications

    

  • 3-5 years of experience with a proven track record in selling products and services in the professional services or technology industry.
  • You have proven sales ability, including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive power, and excellent communication skills.
  • High-level services and industry knowledge and the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets in the professional services or technology sector.
  • Extensive experience in selling through the entire SDLC from the plan, delivery and run phases.
  • Ability to develop relationships and influence at the senior level within a customer’s organization.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to take the initiative and work independently.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations on business matters.
  • Well-developed analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly identify and solve problems through analysis and planning.
  • High level of confidence, drive and motivation and sound business acumen.
  • College degrees are preferred, but at minimum, a high school certificate or equivalent is required for employment.
