1st Shift Fork Truck Driver - Easton, PA
Currently hiring for first shift fork truck driver/material handler positions in our warehouse department at Commerce Park Drive. Starting pay is $16/hr. plus benefits. Experience in operating fork trucks is preferred. Overtime: Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift as business conditions require it. Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
* Shift times are subject to change. Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift. Sometimes it is not possible to give employees involved much notice. Refusal to work as needed is considered a voluntary quit.
Overtime: Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. It is mandatory for junior employees (if senior employees refuse) to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit. Overtime will paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality products by means of picking, preparing, inspecting, moving, storing, transferring, packing, and accounting for materials; to pick, prepare, inspect, and pack materials, to operate and inspect vehicles and related equipment used to move, store, and transfer materials, to use manual and electronic means to identify, count, issue, receipt, and store materials for inventory purposes, to perform any related duties as determined by supervision.
To know and follow all reliability procedures, process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate to work being performed.
To know and follow at all times proper safety procedures and to wear the prescribed safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed.
To report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used in completion of assigned work.
To maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work.
To report immediately to his/her Superintendent or Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.
To perform his/her duties in such a manner as to assure the uninterrupted operation of the Facility and the continuation of the Victaulic Company as a clean, safe place of employment.
Practice good communication with Engineers, Planners, and Supervision to ensure the quality of the product is maintained and as well as a continuous smooth operation.
Actively participate in SRP, VPDS, and any other Company initiative designed to improve workplace efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve quality.
