Position:       Manufacturing Engineer, Northeastern Univ. Co- Op 2019

 

Location:      Victaulic Corporate Headquarters, Easton, PA

 

Reports to:   Manager - Global Manufacturing Engineering

Job Scope:  

Engineer will be responsible for coordinating projects including production line design/startup, working closely with product engineering from concept through production implementation, and supporting initiatives at outlying facilities and Vendors. 

 

Responsibilities:

1)    Design and develop lean/robust manufacturing processes for new products.

2)    Facilitate transfer of knowledge of best practice methods.

3)    Support cost reduction initiatives through product design, process optimization, sourcing, and global process implementation.

4)    Manage projects by efficiently working with operations, quality, accounting, product and facilities engineering, procurement and vendors.   

5)    Support and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental systems.

   

Qualifications: (education, experience, skills, personal attributes):

1)    Bachelor's degree � Mechanical Engineering is desired, prefer completed coursework for Sophomore year. 

2)    Ability to travel to support outlying facilities and vendors as needed.

3)    Must possess good communication skills and be capable of working effectively with others.
