Vetwest Animal Hospital Whitfords is seeking a Part-time  Veterinarian to join their team! We are able to offer flexible hours to someone who shares our values and who thrives in a high-energy environment.

Vetwest Animal Hospital Whitfords is located a short walk from Whitford City Shopping Centre and only 5kms from the popular Hillarys Boat Harbour. The coastal suburb of Hillarys boasts beautiful beaches and parks and a lifestyle that many only dream of!
  
Our Clinic:
  
Vetwest Whitfords is a newly built, large clinic comprising of 6 vets, 12 nurses and 2 animal attendants.
  
Our Veterinarians offer services that range from routine health checks, sterilisations, vaccinations, parasite control and pathology to complex dentistry, digital radiography, surgery and in-house ultrasounds. Our current vet team is a combination of very experienced vets and recent grads, providing a nice mix of skill and interests. Medicine, surgery and rehabilitation are just a few of these different interests. We have the services of a Dermatology Specialist who runs a satellite clinic monthly who is exceptional at providing training time to our Vets.
  
Our brand new purpose built practice boasts 6 consulting rooms, a spacious treatment room, two large surgery rooms, a procedure room, dental suite and radiology room. We have a designated cat ward, cat consult room and a separate cat waiting area and are ISFM accredited. Our equipment includes an IM3 Dental Suite
 with a digital dental x ray, Surgivet and BM5 patient monitors, a dedicated lab area including an Idexx Catalyst Dx, an  Idexx Procyte, Idexx Urinalysis unit, a Statspin and a Microscope as well as diagnostic equipment such as an Epoc Blood Gas Machine and Coag Analyzer, Mylab 5 Ultrasound and a Tonovet.

What we are looking for:  

  • BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in Western Australia
  • A confident Veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years’ practical experience
  • The ability to manage a fully booked consult schedule and perform routine surgery in a reasonable time frame
  • A commitment to provide exceptional patient care
  • Ability to oversee the caseload and work autonomously
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship building skills
  • Contribute to a rotating weekend roster, 8.30am –5pm.
