Regional Manager – Veterinary Clinics (Wellington, New Zealand)

Are you a dynamic leader with strong business acumen and a passion for people, pets, and performance? We’re looking for an experienced leader to take full operational and financial responsibility for a portfolio of veterinary clinics within our Wellington, Palmerston North and Napier area network.

At VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics, and as our Regional Manager you’ll coach and support Practice Managers and Lead Veterinarians to deliver exceptional client care, high clinical standards, and outstanding business results. 

 

Reporting to the Group General Manager NZ, you’ll oversee all aspects of operations from client experience and clinical standards to team leadership and financial performance. The role will position you as a strategic business partner and mentor, ensuring every clinic aligns with VetPartners’ policies, values, and growth objectives.

You’ll play a pivotal role in:

  • Driving excellence in client care and satisfaction, ensuring every visit builds trust and loyalty

  • Maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting clinics to achieve key health and preventative care KPIs

  • Leading, coaching and developing Practice Managers, Lead Vets, and clinic teams to foster a positive and high-performing culture

  • Managing financial performance, analysing P&L statements, setting budgets, and achieving EBIT targets

  • Overseeing HR, marketing, compliance, and facilities, ensuring smooth and effective day-to-day operations

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Client & Patient Care: Champion exceptional client experiences and gold-standard veterinary care

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop practice leaders and teams across multiple locations

  • Financial Management: Deliver strong business performance through effective P&L oversight, budgeting, and strategic planning

  • Operational Excellence: Implement consistent systems, processes, and compliance standards across all clinics

  • Culture & Engagement: Foster a supportive, values-driven environment that promotes collaboration, professional growth, and staff satisfaction

What we’re looking for

You’re an inspiring leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You bring a mix of strategic thinking, commercial savvy, and a genuine passion for people and animal care.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a multi-site business management or operations role (veterinary or healthcare industry preferred)

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with expertise in employee relations, coaching, and performance development

  • Strong financial and analytical acumen - comfortable working with budgets, P&Ls, and KPIs

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

  • Qualifications in Business Management or Human Resources (highly regarded)
