Senior Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Technician (Cert IV)

Permanent Part-Time | 3–4 Week Rotating Roster | Shared Weekend Shifts

We’re growing — and we’re looking for an exceptional, experienced GP Veterinary Nurse/Vet Tech to join our team.

The Role

You’ll be working across a structured 3–4 week rotating roster, including shared weekends, in a hands-on and varied role that includes:

Clinical Nursing

• Confident anaesthetic monitoring and patient advocacy

• Surgical preparation and theatre support

• Inpatient monitoring and hospital case management

• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics

• Maintaining exceptional sterility and infection control standards

• Accurate and thorough medical record keeping

Nurse Consults & Client Care

• Post-operative checks and preventative health consults

• Client education and discharge instructions

• Clear, warm and professional communication

• Supporting smooth daily workflow

Reception & Team Support

• Appointment coordination and front-of-house duties

• Assisting with daily workflow efficiency

• Contributing positively to team morale and clinic culture

This is a role where your skillset will be fully utilised and appreciated.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

• Has solid GP experience in a small animal practice

• Is highly confident monitoring anaesthesia

• Demonstrates initiative and strong clinical judgement

• Is organised, reliable and solutions-focused

• Enjoys both the technical and client-facing aspects of nursing

• Brings positive energy and professionalism to the team

• Experience with EzyVet is highly regarded.

• Confidence with practice management software and efficient documentation is important to us.
