Vetwest Carine – Veterinarian (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Our newly renovated, well-established small animal clinic in Duncraig is looking for a veterinarian to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of long leave.
Positioned in a leafy, park-side location directly opposite Carine Open Space, the clinic is surrounded by walking trails, green space and great local lunch spots—making it easy to step out and properly recharge during your day. Located in a community-focused, family-driven neighbourhood, we’re proud of our long-standing client base who are loyal, engaged and genuinely invested in their pets’ care. All of this, just 20 minutes from Perth CBD, gives you the perfect balance of lifestyle and accessibility.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team of 3 vets and 6 nurses, backed by an experienced Practice Manager. Collaboration, high clinical standards and a positive team culture are at the heart of everything we do.
This role is ideal for:
- A vet on a Working Holiday Visa looking to explore Australia (think 6 months in WA, then your next adventure on the east coast 🌏—with access to 260+ VetPartners clinics across Australia and New Zealand, your next move is already within reach)
- A locum vet wanting consistency and a place to call home for a few months—without a long-term commitment

Clinic hours:
- 8:30am – 7pm weekdays, 8:30am – 5pm Saturdays
- 1 in 3 Saturdays
About You
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in small animal practice
- BVSc / DVM or equivalent qualification
- Eligible for veterinary registration in Western Australia
- Confident in general practice with a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
- A positive, team-first attitude
