Full Time Ophthalmology Nurse

Full time: 38-hour week

Perth Animal Eye Hospital is seeking an experienced, self-motivated veterinary nurse to join their energetic, dynamic team.

We are a busy ophthalmology referral hospital (the only one in WA) in the Southern Suburbs consisting of 2 specialists,1 registrar, 2 resident and 5 nurses. We are looking to expand our family.

The position will be 38 hours worked Monday- Friday between 7:30 – 6:30pm with an on-call roster of one weekend every 5 to 6 weeks. The on-call roster is for emergencies only as we are not open for routine appointments during the weekend. The position will cover a range of aspects of surgical nursing, anesthesia, customer service, reception, patient care, and of course, ophthalmology!

The right candidate will require:

1. Certificate IV in vet nursing or equivalent
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience
3. VSB registered.
4. Great work ethic
5. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a close working relationship with your leading staff and fellow teammates.
6. Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
7. An amazing ‘can do’, team player attitude.
