Anaesthesia or Analgesia Specialist

VetPartners Australia Pty Ltd has an opportunity for an Anaesthesia or Analgesia Veterinary Specialist to join their growing multidisciplinary team at Sydney Veterinary Emergency & Specialists (SVES) in Rosebery, NSW.

 

About the Opportunity

 

You will be joining a leading network of hospitals comprising of 260 general practice clinics and 12 referral sites across Australia and New Zealand where patient care is at the heart of everything that we do. Located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney SVES is a purpose-built, 1000m² facility providing start-of-the-art technology and exceptional care across our surgery, medicine, anaesthesia, imaging, dermatology and oncology departments as well as an established and experienced 24/7 emergency service.

At SVES, you will be part of a truly collaborative and passionate team of specialists, interns, emergency vets and nurses who are committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients whilst advancing their careers.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Administration, adjusting and monitoring anaesthesia for patients during surgical procedures
  • Pain management of patients before during and after surgical procedures
  • Identify and manage complications that occur in patients during surgical procedures
  • Develop and implement anaesthesia protocols for patients across various procedures
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary specialist team and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

 

What We’re Looking For

 

Board qualified specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia or a registrar planning to

sit for boards (FANZCVS/DECVAA/DACVAA) and a degree that is registerable within the state of New South Wales with 2 years of employment experience. Applications from residency-trained candidates will also be considered.
