Learning & Development Manager
Location: Macquarie Park, NSW (Hybrid)
At VetPartners, we support more than 270 veterinary clinics across Australia and New Zealand, enabling our teams to deliver outstanding care to pets and their owners. Our people are at the heart of everything we do—and learning plays a critical role in helping them thrive.
We’re looking for an experienced, high-energy Learning & Development Manager to lead the design, delivery and evolution of our leadership and mandatory training programs. This is a hands-on, visible role for someone who loves being in the room, facilitating learning, building capability and making a tangible impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you’ll have the autonomy to shape our enterprise L&D roadmap, while staying closely connected to day-to-day delivery in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
You’ll design and deliver practical, engaging learning experiences that build leadership capability across our clinics and support functions. You’ll work in close partnership with our Clinical Excellence team, who lead clinical skills development, ensuring strong alignment between leadership, culture and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, facilitating and continuously improving leadership and mandatory training programs
Owning the annual L&D plan for non clinical training, including delivery schedules and learning calendars
Conducting training needs analysis to inform priorities and program design
Curating and maintaining high-quality learning resources, toolkits and facilitator materials
Overseeing the development of online learning modules (delivered by the L&D Advisor)
Leading, coaching and developing an L&D Advisor and L&D Coordinator
Providing monthly reporting and insights on participation, outcomes and effectiveness
Acting as a visible champion for learning, engaging leaders and teams across the organisation
About you
You’re a confident, engaging facilitator who thrives on developing leaders and creating learning that is practical, relevant and immediately applicable. You’re equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to deliver.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience in a Learning & Development or Leadership Development role
Strong facilitation capability with energy, presence and credibility
Experience leading or mentoring L&D team members
A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to work in partnership with our clinical training team
Excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative mindset
Experience with LMS platforms (ELMO highly regarded)
Experience in animal or human healthcare (advantageous, not essential)
