Full Time Receptionist (12 Month Fixed Contract) - Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital

Fitzroy Veterinary Hospital is a small animal veterinary practice that has been a feature of the local area for many years, we are very proud to offer a complete range of veterinary services - providing every patient and every family unique and individually tailored health care. We are currently seeking a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated receptionist to join the team! 
 

Your duties would include, but are not limited to:

• Managing up to five incoming telephone lines as well as serving in-clinic clients
• Greeting clients and their pets and managing new patient registrations
• Diary management/scheduling appointments
• Taking payments and balancing the till at the end of the day
• Product sales and client education
• Confidential client data entry
• Ensuring front of house is always clean and presentable
• Consists of morning and afternoon shifts - Clinic is open 8am – 6pm weekdays
• Saturday shift rotation, typically 1 in 4 Saturdays - Clinic is open 9am – 1pm on Saturday and not open Sunday

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Reception experience - ideally in a similar environment eg. vet clinic, doctors’ office, hospital, dentist etc
• High Standard Customer Service skills - necessary and must be a priority, helping strengthen the human animal bond
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate ideally with experience in scheduling appointments and managing a customer database
• Ability to work as part of a team but also autonomously when required
• Great time management skills with the ability to multitask 
• Ability to keep calm under pressure
