Veterinarian – Ultimate Veterinary Clinic

We have an exciting Veterinarian position (part-time or full-time) at Ultimate Veterinary Clinic for someone who would like to develop their veterinary skills and join a friendly team.

Ultimate Veterinary Clinic is located in Narre Warren South, Southeast Melbourne and is a leafy suburb with a huge Westfield shopping centre for all your shopping desires, great parklands and lakes to get outside into nature, as well as excellent schools, sports clubs, cafes and restaurants!

Our team has 2 experienced Vets, 8 support staff and a Practice Manager, with our Vet to nurse ratio at least 1:2, if not more. Our Practice Manager loves to keep us fed and caffeinated, and provides free lunch once per week, coffees almost every day, and a fully stocked kitchen for all the snacks you could want! We have a reliable, supportive team that works together to deliver the highest standard of health care and advice, giving us the opportunity to advance our staff learning and share knowledge daily.

A full-time roster fosters a great work/life balance as it includes 4 weekdays 8am – 6pm, however let us know what hours you’d prefer to work, and we will do our best to accommodate this. We have separate consulting and surgical days, and most of our appointments are 30 minutes long giving you the time to work up cases effectively.

Our aim is to provide the best standards of care to all patients and pets, therefore we have state of the art equipment including a full orthopaedic kit, DR x-ray, ultrasound, electrocautery, multi-parameter surgical monitoring and a fully functional laboratory area in a beautiful yet functional purpose-built building. 

The team has strong experience across surgical, medical and reproductive disciplines. Our high surgical case load means we can offer regular exposure to a range of advanced procedures performed in-house, including TPLO, MPL surgery and BOAS including palatoplasty. There are plenty of educational opportunities for those wanting to take their surgical experience to the next level. We also work with a number of local breeders to provide advanced reproductive care including surgical artificial insemination, and offer comprehensive in-house management for medical cases.
