We manage a diverse caseload across small animals (70% dogs, 25% cats), equine and exotic species (5%), and work closely with the local zoo.

- Imaging & Diagnostic Equipment: Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, Slit lamp biomicroscopy, Tonometry, Gonioscopy, Ultrasound biomicroscope (UBM), Electroretinography (ERG), BP monitoring
- Surgical & Treatment Equipment: Operating microscope, Phacoemulsification unit (cataract surgery), Laser surgery, Cryosurgery, Microsurgical instruments, Diathermy

- Dr. Martyn King, Ophthalmology Specialist – Only WA specialist performing cataract surgery, providing expert care across small and exotic animals.
- Dr. Jonathon, Ophthalmology Resident – Resident supporting complex cases and gaining advanced surgical experience.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Ophthalmologist, you will specialize in advanced diagnostics and microsurgery to preserve and restore vision for animal patients. As well as collaborating with a team of Specialists, Residents, and interns, as well as experienced veterinary nurses. This role is best suited for a candidate recently boarded or experienced specialist, offering the opportunity to contribute to teaching and mentorship while enjoying flexible work arrangements and the lifestyle benefits of living in Australia.

Requirements
- A board-certified diplomate of ACVO or ECVO or fellowship of the ANZCVS in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Residency trained candidates also considered.
- Recognized and/or accredited undergraduate degree by the Australasian Veterinary. Boards Council (AVBC). Limited registration candidates also considered.
- If required, passing the National Veterinary Examination (NAVLE).
