Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is searching for a Veterinarian with an interest in Nuclear Medicine to become a valued member of our vibrant team!

What is Nuclear Medicine?

Nuclear medicine is a unique diagnostic technique where radioisotopes are injected into the body to study various organ functions. Images are then recorded using a gamma camera. This enables us to calculate precise doses of radioisotopes to treat some forms of cancer. Our main application for this interesting and exciting technique is conform diagnosis and treat hyperthyroid cats with radioactive Iodine

Our procedure and treatment plans are unique in the Southern Hemisphere! We scan our patients to enable us to give an exact and individual dose for each patient, no other site has the facility to do this. Individual dosing minimises risks or adverse side effects and allows a better success rate for our patients to go into complete remission.
