Multi-site Business Manager
Description
Multi-Site Business Manager | Peninsula Vet Care | Full Time
A network built on 40 years of trust. A leadership role built for someone exceptional.
Peninsula Vet Care has been a cornerstone of the Mornington Peninsula community for over 40 years. What started with two clinics in Mt Eliza and Dromana has grown into a network of five clinics stretching to Rye Beach. Built on continuous investment in modern facilities, advanced technology, and highly skilled veterinary professionals. Our teams work collaboratively across the network, sharing knowledge, expertise, and support to ensure the very best outcomes for every patient.
As part of VetPartners, we're now looking for a commercially minded, people-first Multi-Site Practice Manager to lead across the PenVet GP clinic network. Someone who can influence performance, strengthen collaboration across sites, and contribute to the continued success of one of the Peninsula's most respected veterinary networks.
We place a big emphasis on developing the capability and confidence of all our team through a combination of hands-on experience, structured development, and strong mentorship. You will be supported with access to experienced senior leaders, a broad peer network, and centralised specialists who provide coaching across commercial acumen, people leadership, and operational excellence.
Through regular performance conversations, exposure to VetPartners initiatives, and tailored development opportunities, we actively invest in building the skills needed for you to be able to advance your career, and the careers of those you manage.
About the role
This is an influential, leadership position where you'll embed the strategic direction of five clinics while remaining grounded in the heart of veterinary practice. You won't just be managing from a distance; you’ll be the architect of a shared culture, driving financial growth and mentoring clinic leaders to reach their full potential. With centralised support handling the heavy administrative lift, you are free to focus on what matters most: building high-performing teams and an exceptional client experience.
In this role, you will:
- Lead with Impact across five sites, using your 'home' clinic to showcase best-practice management for the entire group.
- Drive Commercial Success. Take full ownership of financial performance, including delivery of key KPIs and P&L management across the network.
- Champion growth with continuous improvement and change initiatives that elevate both clinical outcomes and operational standards.
- Elevate the Experience for all! Ensure a gold-standard, unified client experience across all five sites, from digital adoption to service delivery.
- Empower and grow your teams whether it is through mentoring clinic managers, and leveraging the broader VP network (Vet Managers, rRegional Managers etc) to foster a culture of talent development, wellbeing, and professional accountability.
Who you are
Success in this role requires an authentic, confident leadership style built on the understanding that great results stem from great relationships. We are looking for someone who can walk into a busy environment, build trust quickly, and handle tricky situations with a level head and a empathy. You should be just as comfortable diving into the day-to-day operational "nitty-gritty" as you are stepping back to look at the long-term growth of the network. Above all, acting with integrity is paramount, matching the high standards a community-focused network like PenVet demands.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3–5 years of experience leading teams across multiple sites or regions (ideally within healthcare, retail, or veterinary environments).
- A strong commercial acumen and a grasp of financial reporting, performance analysis and delivery against KPIs.
- A proven ability to guide diverse teams through periods of growth, change, and operational complexity.
- Solid experience in workforce planning, conflict resolution, and coaching for performance.
- The ability to simplify the complex and build influential relationships at every level of the business.
Desirable:
- Qualifications in business, leadership, HR, or related fields
- Experience in veterinary, healthcare, retail, or franchising environments
