Full-Time Business Manager

Illawarra Animal Hospital – Figtree

Illawarra Animal Hospital is a well-established, progressive veterinary practice proudly serving the Illawarra community. Our Figtree hospital is known for delivering high-quality patient care, exceptional client service, and fostering a supportive, team-focused workplace.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Manager to join our leadership team in a full-time capacity. This is a key role suited to someone who enjoys driving operational excellence, supporting people, and contributing to the continued success of a busy veterinary hospital.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Mnager, the Business Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, supporting clinical teams while ensuring smooth business performance. You will play a pivotal role in leadership, people management, financial oversight, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily practice operations and workflow

• Lead, support and develop reception and nursing teams

• Manage rostering and payroll preparation

• Monitor KPIs, budgets and financial performance

• Support recruitment, onboarding and staff retention

• Drive client service excellence and practice culture

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and WHS standards

• Liaise with suppliers, service providers and external stakeholders

About You

• Proven experience in a Practice Manager or Business Manager role (veterinary or healthcare essential)

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Sound understanding of business operations, budgets and KPIs

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities

• Confident, proactive and solutions-focused

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with practice management software desirable
