Casual Cattery Attendant – Albion Vet Surgery

Albion Vet Surgery is seeking a friendly and reliable Casual Cattery Attendant to join our veterinary team.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with cats and is comfortable providing day-to-day care in a busy veterinary environment. This is a hands-on role supporting the wellbeing, comfort, and cleanliness of our cattery patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Feeding, grooming, and providing fresh water for cats

• Cleaning and maintaining cattery cages and facilities to a high standard

• Monitoring cat behaviour and reporting any concerns to veterinary staff

• Administering basic care under supervision (training provided)

• Ensuring a calm, low-stress environment for all feline patients

• Assisting veterinary nurses with general animal care tasks when required

About You

• Passionate about animal care, especially cats

• Calm, patient, and confident handling animals

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Previous animal care or shelter experience is an advantage, but not essential

• Comfortable with cleaning duties and maintaining hygiene standards
