Position: Animal Attendant

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Assisting veterinarians and veterinary nurses during examinations and procedures  

  • Providing basic care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising  

  • Cleaning and maintaining animal housing and clinic facilities  

  • Administering medication as directed  

  • Comforting and providing emotional support to patients and their owners  

  • Contributing to the clinic's preventative health programs and initiatives  

About You:    

  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and well-being  

  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is advantageous but not essential  

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team  

  • A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently  

  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including some weekends and holidays  

Qualifications:    

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in animal science or veterinary assistance is a plus  

  • Basic understanding of animal behavior and care
